Group Benefits Senior Analyst

The individual who enjoys a dynamic team-oriented environment and is seeking professional growth will find this to be a great opportunity. This role consults with team members and carriers to identify, design and implement benefit solutions to minimize risk and maximize cost effectiveness; Prepares RFPs for new business development, renewal analysis, and special projects; Manages all client reporting deliverables as defined. Responsibilities: • Evaluates risk of clients / prospects seeking coverage / renewals of Group Medical, Dental, and Ancillary Lines (STD, LTD, etc.) • Leverages Client and Carrier relations to obtain all necessary data to negotiate appropriate pricing level / profitability of proposed plans • Ensures various client-related activities (reporting, plan designs, etc.) are delivered as required by Client Managers to develop long term integrated strategic plans including proper categorization of risk • Prepares RFPs as requested for new business development / renewals • Ensures data system (BenefitPoint) account compliance is maintained according to defined workflow procedures and standard levels • Performs duties in a manner consistent with Oswald Professional Standards • Supports overall team effectiveness through timely completion / communication of assigned tasks and by sharing expertise / cross-training where possible • Performs duties in a manner consistent with Oswald Professional Standards including all E&O procedures • Performs other duties as assigned by Agency Management Requirements: • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task • Strong written / verbal communication and inter-personal skills • Proven effective presentation skills in both small and large group settings • Demonstrated resourcefulness when working independently and with teams • Effective decision making & reasoning skills; ability to analyze / interpret impact of exclusions / definitions and to understand policy comparisons / differences, claim / loss experience and financial reports • Experience in preparation, analysis and interpretation of risk data utilized in presentation of servicing solutions • Bachelors Degree preferred • Agency Management System experience preferred (BenefitPoint ideal) • Minimum of 5-10 years preferred Group Benefits industry experience; experience as Benefits Analyst / Underwriter of Group Benefit Plans preferred • Professional Designations a plus (i.e. CEBS, RHU) • Computer Literate – Proficient in appropriate software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) • Life, Health & Accident License required To apply, go to www.oswaldcompanies.com and click on "Career Opportunities" then click on job title to submit your resume.
